Scott Teaches
Nuts & Bolts

Scott Jackson is a graduate of the William Alderson Acting Studio where he completed the two-year Meisner Technique professional acting program, taught directly by William (Bill) Alderson, who is widely known as one of the best and most accomplished Meisner teachers, and was one of Sanford Meisner's original protégés.

After studying with Mr. Alderson, Scott returned to the studio to learn how to teach the Meisner Technique, the way that Mr. Meisner taught it to Bill. During his five-year apprenticeship, and under the masterful guidance of Mr. Alderson, Scott taught the complete Meisner Technique program to a multitude of students. He was given the title of Associate Teacher and assisted Mr. Alderson with student productions, private coaching, graduate classes and Meisner Intensives.

In addition to the William Alderson Studio, Scott has taught in Amsterdam and Los Angeles.

As an actor, Scott has worked in commercials, films and theater. He's a company member of the award-winning Pacific Resident Theater where he's had the honor to play an array of fantastic characters, especially Warren in When They Speak of Rita, Lachy in The Hasty Heart, Krogstad in Nora, Yasha in The Cherry Orchard, Nikos in Big Love and Max in Becky Shaw.

Additional training and experience includes Michael Chekhov, Stella Adler and Commedia dell'arte, the former of which he trained with Hotel Theatre Courage.
